In a drive to inspire creative thinking, the clock atop the Bolivian congress building now turns anticlockwise. "It's only logical that a clock in the Southern Hemisphere should turn in the opposite direction to a Northern Hemisphere clock." says Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca.
We did something very similar. Very early on in the design of our watch movements, we decided to ensure the hands could rotate in both directions. The creative freedom it offers is invaluable. It works best with seconds hands, where you can see the motion being acted out in front of your eyes. Pendulum seconds. Wiper seconds. Staggering seconds. Waltzing seconds.
If you want your seconds hand to go round in reverse, just let us know. I'm sure we can work something out.
